Places to Eat

Make the most of your stay here with superb food and drink. You’ll find an excellent array of options both on our estate, and within a short drive of Kentchurch Court.

We’re lucky to have two fantastic eateries on our estate, as well as our charming honesty-box Tea Room.

Under the Nut Tree

An unmissable experience. Chef Simon champions seasonal local produce cooked ‘long, slow and smokey,’ on an ingenious outdoor kitchen. Sample the three-course set menu, on Fridays, Saturdays and the occasional Sunday lunch, from March to Christmas. In fine weather, eat in the garden or in colder weather retreat to the atmospheric barn.

The Bridge Inn

A short stroll along the lane will bring you to this country pub, set on the banks of the River Monnow. Enjoy a warm welcome with real ale, local ciders, house cocktails plus a hearty home-cooked menu. Relax in the huge garden and outdoor terrace, both of which are family-friendly, or cosy up by the woodburner on those chillier evenings.

The Garden Tea Room

After touring our beautiful gardens or visiting our historic home, guests are always welcome to pop into our Tea Room for tea, coffee and a selection of delicious homemade cakes. Our tea room provides the perfect setting for friends and family to enjoy light refreshments.
